Dr. Christa Young graduated from Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and worked in emergency and general practice in Indiana until moving to the Kissimmee area in 2010. She has been caring for dogs, cats, small reptiles, and pocket pets in Lakeland and Kissimmee since moving to Florida. She is excited to offer her surgical and medical skills in serving the pets and pet parents of her community.
Dr. Dianne Hernandez earned her DVM from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine with Magna Cum Laude distinctions after completing her Bachelors at the University of Puerto Rico. She has practiced small animal medicine in George, Boston, and Auburn University. Dr. Hernandez also has an interest in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM). She's an amazing addition to the team!
Mr. Jim Young is co-founder and director of Bellalago Veterinary Hospital. He completed his Bachelor's from Wabash College and his Master's at Purdue University in Indiana before moving to Kissimmee with his wife, Dr. Young. He is passionate about turtles, tortoises, and trains. Mr. Young looks forward to serving the pets and people of our community.
Melissa is an Louisiana State University graduate who has worked in the veterinary field in Puerto Rico and the U.S. mainland. She and her family recently moved back to Florida from P.R. and we are glad to have her on the team. She is the proud mom of a Beagle puppy - ask her about him and you may even get to see some pictures!
Christina joined our team Spring 2016 with experience as an ICU and emergency veterinary technician. She is passionate about pets and their people. Christina also has a unique talent for real estate, and is a a supermom when it comes to helping her daughter with dance competitions!
Sandi joins our team May 2016 hailing from a veterinary specialty center in Texas before moving with her family to the Kissimmee area. We are very thankful for her service to our country while in the military! She most recently nursed pets back to health at an Orlando small animal clinic.
Ashley is attending St. Petersburg College in pursuit of a degree in veterinary technology when not assisting Dr. Young in pet medical and surgical procedures. She is excited to help people and their beloved pets - always with a smile!
